How to feature an item on eBay?

Using Ebay's "Maximum Bid" feature and entering THE highest bid for the item, will I always WIN ?

  • I am an ebay novice, and a bit confused, My question is that if for example: A bid is at £25 with 10 seconds to go, You have already set your "maximum bid" at £35 at this point Someone takes a very late bid at £28 (note, this is under my max bid) Who will win this bid, me because i have set a higher bid? or the person who entered their bid in the last seconds??? The question of this mainly is that, "Will the proxy bidding feature on ebay (Maximum bid) update fast enough that i come out on top in the end and with a higher max bid than the current bid on the item, will i WIN ??????? I am cofused, thanx for any help. x

  • Answer:

Yes it will update your bid to 29. Or whatever the next increment is.

unless they update their maximum bid within the last few seconds and they put a bid higher than yours (which is unlikely with 30 secs left) then you will win it :) but the thing is no one knows how much the other person has set as their highest bid!

You will win the bid. Its the highest maximum bid that wins not the person entered their bid last.
