Where did my orders on Amazon go?

About a recent Amazon.com transaction...?

  • Ok. I purchased something on Amazon.com, and later I was told that the item was out of stock...Ok then, so the order was canceled, but the money didn't get returned to my card. And when I go to the GreenDot website (I have a GreenDot Visa), it says that little transaction is "pending". But I got an email saying the order was CANCELED, and when I go to see "My orders" on Amazon, it's nowhere to be seen. So, how can I get my money back? And why are Amazon and GreenDot saying different things about my order? Thanks.

  • Answer:

It can take longer than the 3 to 5 days quoted by Amazon if a weekend was involved, since the money doesn't move on Sat. and Sun. So if you have a weekend involved, expect to wait longer than that 3 to 5. If it was a straight week, no weekends involved, then there IS a problem and you need to contact both companies and find out what the problem is. And really, calling people names on here? when you are the one asking for help? not very cool.
