You may be thinking of Holly Hobbie, they were cute and from the 70's. You can find them on ebay,etsy,bonanza, etc. and they did make figurines, plates, etc. They are usually reasonably priced as well. That's so nice of you ! your mom will enjoy anything from this collection I think. The series has little girls usually as a decoration, in sunbonnets and homespun clothing, very cute.

I also have a Currier & Ives blue porcelain miniature 3" bell with a winter scene on it for $10. I dont know what name you are thinking of, just wanted to mention my stuff.
