Should I use regular paper for my coupons?

Is it okay to resize my coupons to save paper&ink? will walmart still accept them?

  • I recently moved into my own place and the budgets tight. Usually when I get coupons from websites I just grab them and cut them out and use them as they are but I've ran into a few that take up half a page or sometimes an entire 8X11 inch sheet. Is it okay to resize coupons? Will the bar code still scan at walmart? If I shrink them, it saves paper, and ink for me. Just wondering if it's okay to print them smaller because an entire sheet of paper on one coupon stinks. Thanks! Also, I do most, if not all of my grocery shopping at walmart for convenience, so walmart coupon stories appreciated!

  • Answer:

As long as the Barcode scans, and the print on it is readable, you should be able to do this, the only thing Walmart asks is that the coupons be separate (ie. not 6 coupons on one page, cut them into 6 coupons) since they send the coupons to each manufacturer and they do not want to risk accidently damaging one or destroying one, plus it saves them time and it saves you from getting lectured by the cashier that you had just made his/her job harder. Regardless it SHOULD be fine, If they don't accept it say "Oops Not enough money! Just brought in enough so with the coupons we should be even" the cashiers dont want to put away hundreds of stuff so they usually cooperate in that event

They scan the coupons. As long as the bar code on the coupon is legible, no matter what the size, it will scan. The people that work at Walmart won't know anything except whether or not it scans.

Answer: I do weekly shopping trips to walmart and love to use my coupons there. I noticed this week that they put a banner up through out the store, showcasing that they are coupon friendly. As far as the bar code. I would resize and print it out. Compare it to a regular size one and see if the bar code is the same size. I understand what you mean, sometimes they print a receipe or picture of the product. Very annoying! Unless I like the receipe, LoL! You should have no problem being labed "Loyal Customer"!
