How can I sell things online without using paypal?

  • I really want to start selling online but im only a teenager and my parents wont let me set up a paypal acount as it gets hacked a lot. Is there any other way that I could sell things online?

    Paypal accounts don't get hacked "a lot", in fact, if you are savvy about it, never. Hackers send out fake emails, you just have to be aware of this and never answer an email pretending to be from paypal. Instead, forward it to [email protected], and wait for an answer. If the email is real, you then just log into your paypal account and resolve any issue there. Paypal only sends out notification of payment emails, very very rarely do they send out any other type of email. So that's another hint an email is fake. As far as you being under 18 and trying to sell online, that's not allowed. You must be 18 or older to do so. You also must be 18 in order to have a paypal account. Your parents can open accounts for you and then supervise your usage until you are of age. You can show this info to your parents, again, good luck. It really is in their hands until you are 18.

The only thing I can see you doing is selling on your local craigslist site. You can do pickups with cash only...paypal is a pretty safe site, but you would need your parents to sign up or open a student account for you...
