What are good ways to get the "Last Second Bid" on eBay successfully?

Would I get kicked off eBay for cancelling a bid?

  • I bid on an item because I liked the main picture but after I bid I saw the item description and saw some difference between the main picture item and the actual picture so I decided to contact the seller to cancel my bid, I tried to wait for a reply but it says there that I should expect a reply 1-2 business days after I sent the message, which is well after the auction ends so I decided to retract the bid myself stating I can't contact the seller (they only give you 3 choices and this was the one that fits it most) will I get into trouble for retracting the bid?

  • Answer:

No but if you make it a habit, you'll get an email from Ebay. You should always investigate the item completely before bidding Esp when its not close to ending anytime soon. On Ebay, it doesnt matter if your bidder that is in the lead , it matters that your the lead bidder when the time is up. Bidding days in advance only costs you money. You bid, they bid, you bid. When you could just bid once at the end of it.

Absolutely not. It's annoying to a seller but there's nothing they can do about it, as the answer above mine states -don't make it a habit.
