Should I sell on Amazon or eBay?

Looking for other places to Sell stuff Online? (Besides Amazon, Ebay, craigslist)?

  • I currently sell stuff on Amazon and Ebay at fixed prices. About 200 items a day. Not interested in auction listings. Craigslist does not work for me as it is designed for local sales. I am looking for other avenues to sell my items online. Sometimes I can have say quantity 200 Wizard of Oz dvds. They sell great on Ebay or Amazon but it takes a long time to sell 200 of any one item. I have tried a few other sites like overstock (the big O) with no success. So I am looking for other avenues to sell online?

You should invest in building your own website where you can sell without paying fees. You can signup for google advertisement to drive traffic to your store. Check for example my website www.RareOzBooks.com. I have online store and information pages. I am on 1st page on the major search engines under keyword "Wizard of Oz books". I have also tried about 5 other online sites to sell and sold exactly 0 on all of them, I don't think you can do any better than you are doing now. Ebay and Amazon seem to be the only two sites worth bothering with at this time. Maybe a new site will come along with enough advertising that is seller friendly to compete against these two giants.
