Can I use eBay with just a Paypal account?

  • Hey, Recently I have been more into my studies than ever at the age of 14 and am worrying about upcoming exams and coursework. So recently, I have been organizing my room and preparing for my next year of school, in which I will receive a volley of exams. So while clearing up a found a load of junk that I'd forgotten about and had grown out of. This includes Yu-Gi-Oh cards, Various other trading cards, toys, puzzles, books, board games, staionary etc... I don't need or use them anymore and instead of getting rid of them, my friend suggested selling them on eBay. What a great idea! So I got my digital camera out and started snapping pitures of a few products that I would like to sell... However my parents are unwilling to lend me their eBay accounts to sell my items even though they have used the site before for many of their needs. It is understandable however as I wouldn't trust a 14 year old child with access to my credit/debit cards either. So I was just wondering, since I already have my own Paypal account, could I possibly just use that to recieve the money I make from my sales on eBay without directing the money to any bank account? My Paypal account has £0.55 in it currently, but that would soon increase with the selling of my items on eBay. If it is forbidden to create an eBay account under the age of 18, could I use my parents to create one, without providing their bank account details that could channel the money generated back to my Paypal account? So is this possible, and if so how? Are there any better alternatives? All answers appreciated, thank you. The Count

    Yes you can, but remember when you sell an item please note the buyer you will only accept Pay Pal, Also yes you can use your parents information, but please ask them before doing so Please Choose me as best answer :)

Yes, as long as they pay you only through your Paypal account. "So while clearing up" should read "So whilst clearing up".

I'm 14 too and i sell on ebay. I just used all my real info, added my bank account (savings) but lied about my age. so far i have made about $750 selling old crap. Good luck! PS: adding your bank details makes buyer more comfortable. i suggest doing that, the money will not be transferred to your bank, only into your paypal account.
