How do I use ebay to start selling my jewlery online?

Will eBay allow me to sell again?

  • I have been doing business on ebay for a while selling software. however, one day my paypal was limited and this is what ebay sent me: Attention! We've noticed some activity on your account, and we need your help in verifying some information. We're sorry for this inconvenience, but while we're working things out with you, you'll have limited access to list new items on eBay. Please proceed to you’re my eBay and follow the steps outlined in the email we sent you. Thanks for your attention to this matter! Another email from ebay was sent about ten minutes later saying that I need to fix up my limited PayPal account. PayPal DENIED my appeal, even though I gave them everything they asked for. Then they would see if there would be anything else they could do: Hello Dennis, Your eBay selling account has been restricted in order to allow us to confirm some information including your identity and your current business practices. This process helps ensure a safe trading environment for you and the eBay Community. I understand this process may be confusing. Please allow me to explain a little more about this process. We’re committed to reducing both fraud and negative buying experiences on the site. To maintain a safe marketplace, we sometimes restrict selling activity, end active items, or suspend accounts until additional information can be verified or obtained. These actions are not necessarily meant to be a reflection of your account’s activity, but rather a preventative measure. In order to appeal your eBay restriction I will need you to first resolve any unresolved issues with your PayPal account. To start working on your PayPal account, you will need to contact PayPal directly to initiate your appeal. I have included the instructions on how to contact PayPal: 1. Open a new Web browser. 2. Go to the PayPal home page (www.paypal.com). 3. Log in to your PayPal account. 4. Under the "Email us" section, click the "Send us a question by email" link. 5. Select the appropriate topic, write your message, and then click the "Continue" button. You can also reach PayPal by phone at 1-402-935-2050. Here are their hours: 4:00 AM PDT to 10:00 PM PDT Monday through Friday 6:00 AM PDT to 8:00 PM PDT Saturday and Sunday The agent will need to verify the telephone number on your account and the last 4 digits of your credit card or bank account. You may want to have that information handy when you call. After your issues with PayPal have been resolved, please reply to this email. We'll be glad to help you appeal the restriction of your eBay account. Please be aware that we may ask you to provide additional information in order to appeal this restriction. If you need further assistance, please don't hesitate to reply to this email and let us know. Sincerely, Adler eBay Customer Support After this notice, I was not able to list anything any more. Now I am desperate for some money so I need to sell something fast. So I contacted their live help, and they submitted a request for an appeal. Although I have over 100% positive feedback and more that 51 of them, I do have a couple people saying they have not received the item they paid for. I have absolutely no proof that I sent it, as I did not use a service with a tracking number of any kind. Do you think I have a chance to get my account running again?

  • Answer:

Eventually, maybe. From now on, use USPS delivery confirmation to ensure you have proof that the item was mailed and you know it was delivered. It is cheap and easy proof. This will keep scammers from saying they never received the item. It isn't fair to you when they do this, but without any type of proof, you are stuck. Sorry.

Have you actually spoken with someone at paypal and determined that this is all for real and not some hacker trying to get all of your information ? If it is for real, did you recently apply for a paypal debit or credit card ? If so, that is what triggered this mess - They WILL do this until they check out all the information they need on you - they did this to me after applying for their debit card with NO warning, freezing my account for 2 weeks. Ridiculous, yes. They should warn their customers of this practice. I was very very unhappy about this, contacted them by phone and complained long and loudly. As sellers, we fund them and we should be treated as valued clients, but we aren't. I also have started to sell on Bonanzle as well as ebay. These entities of ebay ( paypal is owned by them) have become so big that they forget the little people who made them successful.

I hate to say this, and hope I'll win best answer, because I am being 100% honest with you. Most likely they WILL NOT. THis happened to me and I lost out on SOOOOOOOOOO much money. You will soon learn that eBay is like a Nazi organization and practically wants a colonoscopy from you if you so much as make a mistake and ONE idiot buyer reports it. Say goodbye to that account and that Paypal. If I were you, I would take ALL of your Paypal money, close that account, and run. Somehow disconnect it. THey froze $1,900 of mine and I NEVER recovered it because I didn't want to send them all of my personal information. They had enough info. on me and I don't feel that they have the right to dig so deep..they aren't even a bank. -------- Why did I get a thumbs down? I was being honest to the person asking the question. Do you want me to lie and say that YES eBay is telling you the truth and will reinstate your account after you send them all that info? Sorry, but they're not and they won't! Be safe...avoid eBay at ALL costs, if possible.
