How can I get my money back on Ebay?

• I received an item worth $269 and it was totally different from what the seller described. The seller agreed to refund my money, so I shipped it back to him. USPS had a problem with my tracking number, and had not updated my tracking number. I tried calling USPS and they told me the mailman may have forgotten to do the last scan on the package. I emailed the seller 4 times to ask if he received it, but I never got a respond for 2 weeks. I opened a case on ebay and lost, because ebay said the tracking did not show it was delivered, therefore, they sided with the seller. 4 days after I lost my case, the seller finally sent me a message. He said since I have lost my case, he will now ship the item back to me once again. I am so mad! I want my refund back not the item. Now he has both the item and my money. What if he decided not to send it back to me? What kind of buyer protection is this? I got scammed and I have lost my case on ebay. Are there any ways I can get my money back? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank You!

  Contact ebay and show them the email you received from the seller. Call them. They will need any and all emails between the two of you. Ebay should force the seller to give you a refund ( take the funds out of his paypal account). Or call paypal directly to take care of this - their number is 1-888-221-1161.
