Ebay and Paypal fees?
-
I just started using ebay and I'm not awar of the hidden fees or anything as such. However when I was selling my first item, I agreed to this transaction with paypal for the selling fees on ebay. Does this mean Paypal will cut off a monthly amount from my paypal account? if so how do i stop this? I want the ebay fees to taken everytime i sell something by paying for each item as I dont sell things very often

Answer:
I think you can manually pay for each transaction as you go, someone at paypal or ebay should be able to help you with this. Otherwise you are billed once a month and the funds will come out of your paypal account. Remember, paypal also takes a small fee every time you receive money from a buyer.

eBay bill you monthly. If you have indicated that you want your monthly fees to come out of your Paypal account they will do that approximately a week after the monthly eBay bill. eBay will send you an email about 3 days after the monthly closeoff telling you what your fees are and give you another few days to pay it by another means if you so wish. If you do nothing the money just comes out of your Paypal account. eBay do not take the fees out every time you sell something but you can do it manually if you so wish by making a 'one time payment' after every transaction

eBay and PayPal are both essentially 'pay as you go' - that is, they're transaction-based - although eBay only actually collects once a month. Neither one charges any kind of monthly 'membership' or 'maintenance' fees. You only owe eBay money when you DO something (post a listing, sell an item) or on PayPal when you receive payments besides refunds (someone purchases from you or sends you money), and PayPal takes its cut from the money before you ever get it. eBay bills you once a month for any activity during the preceding month, and if you didn't do anything, you don't owe anything. Basically, once you've paid the fees for a given transaction, you won't be charged any fees again until you do another transaction. In the sense I think you're talking about, there are no 'hidden' fees.
