Is it okay to get an unpaid eBay strike?

Will I get a non-payment strike on ebay if the payment is late?

  • Apparently they can file for a non-payment strike after 3 days of not receiving payment, but I am still waiting for my paypal account to recognize my bank account. If they filed a non-payment strike and then I paid 5-7 days after the auction ended would the strike not go through? What happens if you're late with payment? Will it ruin my ebay credit on my account if they eventually get the payment after they file for a strike?

    You need to contact the seller and not worry about that yet. The buyer would have to open a dispute and then you would have a certain amount of time to make good on the auction. If you refuse to pay then you will get a strike. Get 3 of those and ebay will terminate your account. Most sellers are reasonable and understanding. Let them know paypal is verifying your bank account info and you will pay them as soon as everything is set. I suggest also you check your bank account every morning to see if the test deposits were made so you can hurry and confirm. Sometimes it takes less than 5 days. mx

Well yeaa is possible for the seller to get a strike on you but since its a legitimate reason send an email directly to the seller and explain your situation. If you are luckily dealing with a good seller theyd understand and give you a little more time to pay up hope this helps!

So long as you contact the seller to advise your paypal situation,you should be ok. sellers cannot open a nonpayer dispute until day 4, then wait another 4 days until they close it issuing you with the strike at that stage. So you'll be the clear if you pay by day 7.
