I need help with buying on eBay!!!?

• it's my first time buying on eBay and i don't know if the person i'm buying it from is a scam. I need advice from frequent eBay buyers. DETAILS: we have been e-mailing through our personal e-mail. I didn't have an eBay account when she decided to sell it to me. She's in the UK and wants the money wired there through my bank but she also said she wouldn't get the money until i recieved what i paid for, but if that is her personal account they wouldn't hold it would they? I'm not so sure what to do, i told her to redo it through eBay account mail and she said that is the one she is using but i'm having second thoughts. I need all detail from buying to paying and recieving the objects. I tried finding answers on eBay but they are not clear and don't answer MY specific question. THANKS!!! xoxo

  There are a lot of honest sellers on eBay, but there are also loads of dishonest sellers. The advantage of buying through eBay is that everything is recorded, and you can then pay through a paypal account, which is safe. If you then use a credit card on paypal you are double protected! If you pay to her personal account then it will be very difficult to get any money back if anything goes wrong. Not that it will, but it might. There is no point in not keeping yourself safe. You can set up an eBay account in a matter of minutes, it really is very easy (and free). Paypal isn't much more difficult. That way you will both be on eBay which will keep you both safe. If you can get onto eBay, check her seller feedback score, as this can tell you a lot about her past transactions. This seller isn't currently doing anything wrong, but you don't want to regret not doing the simple things to stay safe. Take care, Stuart Edit: Yeah, certainly sounds suspect to me. Be very careful with a big purchase like a car. Are you able to see the it first? Consider giving this a wide berth and look for a car somewhere else.
