How to use Paypal on eBay?

  • HI guys, Is it possible to buy something on ebay without any credit or debit card, by just using your paypal account (I alreaday have money in my account)... Let me clarify my question a little bit more. When you use the paypal option method on ebay, do you have to provide your credit card number if you already have money in your paypal account?

    Your credit card or bank account info. should already be on file with paypal. Otherwise you wouldn't have been able to open the account to begin with. You should be able to pay with just your paypal money, I do it all the time but I have my bank account info. on file with them.

Sorry but this is not an answer, just a thank you for the question and for the person who did answer, I just bought something on ebay yesterday and found the Pay pal option to be a bit confusing, I'm glad to know I'm not the only one. Thank goodness my daughter was here to walk me through it.

yes it is possible to buy something on ebay without any credit or debit card. paypal will just do what is called an "e-check" which is where they automatically transfer funds out of your bank account into your paypal account. This process takes 3-5 days to complete. e-check is normally how i buy things because its always at the spur of the moment.
