Can I trust this seller on ebay?

Can i trust this ebay seller?

  • hey guys, im wanting to buy a HTC hd2 phone from this ebayer in china. He has zero feedback and has only joined ebay like a month ago. I won the item for a much lower price than other ebayers are selling for. Could it be that he is a fraudulent ebayer. Or maybe people were just skeptical about bidding when the ebayer had zero feedback. heres the link. Plz help. cheers http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220645413818&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT#ht_1872wt_1137

Bluntly, forget it. The price is 33% below what that sells for discounted in China. It is very, saying very, common to sell stolen or fake goods this way in China. Chinese would never part with the money before testing the item out themselves. They sell it, then meet in a coffee shop, and try it out. Then the money is paid. Your writing tell me your an Aussie, if you want to take the risk with an escrow, maybe, but is it worth the trouble? He could sell that item in five minutes on street with hawkers and get cash, so why is he selling via ebay?

Western standard electronic goods are more expensive in China than the US. This is a fact. Don't do it. Too many knock offs and fakes here. For my friends in China I regularly buy electronics and bring it in while going back and forth.

I started on Ebay in 1998. Ive been both a buyer and a seller. I would never have bid on this item. Im not saying he's a fraudulent buyer. He "might" be completely honest. The point is.. He has no reputation/feedback. Its too risky for me. The other reason is ..its an electronics item. What if it doesnt work. You'll have to pay shipping back to China. On the Description Im hoping you read the other tab there. Postage and Payment. He doesnt state any return policy. Maybe he wont take it back. Always ask questions before you bid. The postage seems high but Im in the US, and havent calculated exchange rates. I know AU prices seem high but arent when calculated. Also, I find it odd that he's China and will ONLY ship to Australia. Bit strange. I have a rule on Ebay. Never bid more than you want to lose. Its always worked for me. Ive only been ripped off of $40. I have 800 f/b That seller had 600 and decided to take the money and run. You cant ever tell for sure. But now Paypal has insurance, so thats a plus

dude it wont let us open the link properly cvus the bidding has ended - and just to let you know a lot of people i buy off ebay they dont have any feedback but i have no problems with them :) its down to you hun if you dont trust them then dont pay for the item and dont recieve it - however if you do buy the item and it is not delivered or is broken then you can simply contact the ebay producers and they can suspend his account hun x GO WITH YOUR NATURAL INSTINCTS - INSTINCTS ARE USUALLY ALWAYS RIGHT -X-

This is a FAKE, as all of these items from China are. Look at the other answers. Don't pay for this item and report this seller to ebay as selling illegal knockoffs of brand name items. Don't be a sucker for this stuff, and stay away from Chinese sellers in any venue.

Could be lots of things. The person is new and trying to start selling. The item is protected under PayPal's Buyer Protection Policy. Pay with paypal and ask before posting payment what is the handling time and when can you expect item. Give him your country and postal code so the can check. On ebay with new sellers you have to trust because their is nothing else to go on. good luck. mx
