Which Retail Stores Offer Layaway????????

  • Well looks like Wal-Mart is killing their Lawaway Program as of December 8th 2006.....Who still offers Layaway programs?! Target? K-Mart? Mervyn's? I am not upset I just want to know what retail chains still offer layaway programs.....THANKS :)

    You might make sure it isn't just one store with Wal Mart. I am shocked that they would cancel layaway. However, the best layaway is a savings account! Earn interest while you are saving for a big purchase.

Kmart. Kmart also got rid of their layaways but soon found out that customers liked layaways. So they brought it back!

Wal-Mart was the only one I knew of. I bet they're cancelling it because they now offer credit cards and have their own banks, so they figure why let people hold it for free, when they can be gaining interest? Come to think of it, Kmart may still offer it.
