How can I return a product online?

Can i return a product that i bought online from Target?

  • I bought a air purifier, had it for about a week and was disappointed with the product. Can i return it to a Target store and will they give me a refund or a gift card to their store? I used Paypal to purchase the product.

    Different stores have different return policies. It wouldn't hurt to call them to find out. Some are very accommodating. As long as you have your receipt (email confirmation of the purchase & payment), it's possible you could get lucky. And if the store doesn't honor online purchases, check the return policy on the website. If they would allow a return, sometimes they will send you a prepaid return shipping label. All you'd have to re-package it and bring it to whichever shipping service they provided you a label for. Just don't assume they will or won't... call and find out. Asking the retail merchant themselves makes more sense than coming here and asking.

Yes, Target allows you to return products you purchased online. However, since you purchased with Paypal, the only refund you can get by returning it in the store is a Target gift card (store credit.) The systems aren't quite sophisticated enough to refund your Paypal from the store, and since you could have a credit card linked to your Paypal, they cannot give you cash. Just a little tip, though. Personally, at my store, I'd return the purifier for you no problem... even though you used it, and even though you just didn't like it. Some Target stores are slightly more strict on the "unopened and unused" policy, though-- just so you know. Good luck!

No. Most stores, online or otherwise, don't give credits merely because you were disappointed in the item unless you were disappointed because it didn't operate properly or something of that nature.
