How do I cancel an order from Amazon.com?

  • I placed an order yesterday and I need to cancel it. (I ordered the wrong item, nothing wrong with their service!) Anyway, do I just email the seller? Or is there a place to actually cancel the order?

    The order has to not be yet shipped! Once shipped you can't cancel it. Anyway, you go to YOUR ACCOUNT, from there you press the VIEW RECENT AND OPEN ORDERS. When the page loads you put your account password in and next to your order you will see another link that says: "change order". In there you will follow the next couple of steps to cancel the order. Just do what they tell you and don't forget to check the little box on top! I speak all from experience! but you have to do this before the order ships!

Go to the accnt page, view all recent purchases, and there should be a link if it is able to be cancelled. If there is not that option you need to a email the seller right away, b call amazon customer service.
