Bidding websites charging a fee?
-
why is it that these bigging websites like http://ebay.com http://ubid.com or http://redtag.com charge you a fee to sell your product online? i think that's a bit ridiculous. don't you think? are there any other bigging websites that don't charge you a fee to sell your product online other than http://craigslist.org?

Answer:
They charge a fee in an effort to make sure a legitimate Item is being auctioned off. ( of course that does always insure it, but it helps somewhat) Plus it helps pay for the cost of the site. It is a business after all. You yourself are looking for a free site other than Craig's list & my guess is because you do not trust the site. A small fee to sell an item would seen a worth it for a little piece of mind knowing the transaction is properly being monitored*
