If orders from AMAZON.COM go straight to the door, what happens if NOBODY'S HOME when it comes?

Well for me, they left it at my front door, but I've heard that for some of my friends, they have their package sent to their local post office and have a notice on their front door alerting them that they came and no one was there so they took it to "such and such" post office.

well i order a lot from amazon it Normally depends on the carrier UPS or USPS sometimes they will leave the item on your door step if it doesn't need a signature but most of the time they will just leave something telling you when they will be back again or where you can pick it up the usps will Normally leave it in your mail box if it fits if it doesn't sometimes they will to just leave it at your door step they pretty much do the same they'll leave you a notice so you can come pick it up or they'll try to deliver it again the next day.

It depends on how it's being shipped, and then sometimes the size and the value, if it requires a signature. If USPS, even priority mail, it'll be left at the door. For other carriers, it depends on if it requires a signature. What you can do is this, and I've done this on numerous occasions. Put a note on the front door (inside if you have a glass storm door to attach it too). Just make sure it's visible. Put: To FedEX (or to UPS, Etc.) Signature not required. Sign and put the date. UPS may not even require a signature, but if it's being sent UPS leave the note anyway. You should know what carrier is being used, but if you don't, but put "To shipping service" on the note.
