That's a fair question. Everyone had to learn this at one time. The person above explains it well. Also, sometimes you can find coupons on the internet, which you print on your printer, than take into the store the same way. For instance, if you were looking for a discount at Chili's you would try typing in "Chili's coupon" to Google, and maybe a coupon will come up.
