You don't need to deposit cash to paypal. You add a debit or credit card to it. And then when you need to pay for something you get redirected to paypal you enter your credentials and only then do they bill your card for the appropriate ammount. So step 1: go to PayPal and add your debit card. step 2: get your card verified (it might take up to 1 month) step 3: go to ebay and when you have to pay you get redirected to the paypal site log in, confirm the payment. They take your money directly from the card and it's payed for.
