Will online shopping still work?

How does Black Friday work for stores that have online shopping?

  • Take Wal-Mart for example, would the same deals be online that are in store? It would make my life so much easier if they were.

  • Answer:

I actually run an online shopping site and have been working around the clock for the past few weeks for the online Black Friday shopping. You can find a lot of the same deals online as you would in the stores. The problem is that the stores' websites don't have real time inventory, so on items with limited quantities you might order it with no problems online, only to find out several weeks later that the item is out-of-stock and you won't be receiving it. Maybe this beats getting trampled, camping out in a parking lot overnight and not getting the deal anyways ;) I've got a lot of ads to go and am drinking too much coffee this week so feel free to keep checking back - I'm uploading probably several hundred new deals daily. I've got Wal-Mart, Sears, K-Mart, Target, Macys and lots of other smaller stores represented. When you click through the links you'll see the details of the offer and I have them arranged by sale date, doorbuster time and department - with links right to the items themselves. Good luck!!

Black Friday is on the same day every year-the day after Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is the fourth Thursday of November. Someone doesn't go shopping on Black Friday because it is way too busy. And they hold off Electronics purchases until after Thanksgiving. Howeve, I plan to buy gift before black friday, I think the price will drop dramatically the same as in christmas. http://www.gameyeeeah.com

I wouldn't take too much trust in "Black Friday" or this "Cyber Monday", for that matter. My experience with the two purported sales events is they either use the time honored old "bait and switch" sales tactic or you can order your online treasure bargain now---and it MIGHT arrive to your home sometime in mid-July......or worse: the purchase is canceled---and it might be a headache to get your credit put back into your card account. I've found gift prices to be LOWER during the mid Spring and mid Summer months--when I do my shopping and have it well done by August; let the fools go scrambling during the Holidays, all aching to be ripped off blind. Remember: The shopper seeks to pay a little for a lot; the retailer seeks to sell a little for a lot---it's a terse battle between buyer and seller....and the sleazy sales tactics are merely a small ingredient to the behemoth recession we're all stuck in.
