  • is it safe to buy stuff of ebay or any site and put your credit card number can somone easly steal your identity

  • Answer:

. There are a TON of ways your credit card number can be stolen, and I don't worry about credit card fraud when I input my credit card number on line any more than I do any other time I use it. I believe there is almost always a toll free number that you can call so that you don't have to enter it into a web order form. There's also a forum on EBay or on Pay Pal where people discuss problems they've had, and FAQ's for both, so you might want to read those if you haven't already.

I've used paypal without a problem but there's always a chance. You're taking a chance by handing your credit card to the clerk at the store who sees all the numbers on it. If you're really worried, check your charges online every day.

Get a PayPal account if you are going to be using eBay. Pay Pal offers a secure way to pay for things online. They are an eBay company, but many other online businesses are offering pay pal as a payment option. But, that said, I buy stuff online all the time. T-shirts, CDs. musical equipment, you name it. Your credit card is also responsible for protecting your purchases. If someone were to use your information to buy something else, all you have to do is call your credit company and file a report, usually they'll just credit you the difference.

I've been buying and selling on Ebay for 7 years and never had a problem - use www.paypal.com for secure credit card payments.

Any time you buy on line, contact the person you are buying from. Get their email address and send them half of your credit card number, then you can call them and give them the second half of your card number or email them the second time giving it to them. This way no one can use your number with out having both half's.

Sometimes it is but I would not recomed doing it I would use paypal. It is a whole lot safer it just takes it out of your checking account. But if you want to use your credit card just make sure you have a password that no one would guess and that you dont give your password to anyone!!!! If your credit card number ever does get stolen you can call and report it they will check out your accont and record and put your money back on your account. So what ever you do just be careful the internet can be dangours esapplisly with money.
