Is It SAFE to buy from ebay?

  • I want to buy a cell phone in ebay. This guy has 0 in all of his feedback. He doesnt have negative feedback or nothing. He is selling the phone I want but it usually cost 250$, but he has it for 41$. Only Two bids. Is it safe. How do I know if buying something on ebay is safe?

    I wouldn't buy a phone on ebay because you don't know what happened to the phone before it was placed on ebay... I have bought cd's and other items...things that are fairly inexpensive that way i wont be mad and out of alot of money if it doesn't work properly.

If he's got 0 feedback, then don't buy. It's probably a scam. Most of my eBay dealings have been pleasant, but there are some assholes out there.

My advice is.... When in Doubt....STOP. Certainly Buyer Beware......you have to ask yourself how could something normally that expensive be sold at such a low cost. Is it damaged? Is it stolen? Buying on Ebay ...for the majority.... is a safe market. I buy & sell on Ebay not regularly...but enough to know that electronics can be a hit or miss. If I were in your shoes, I wouldn't bid on the phone. I would keep looking for those sellers that seem to have a proven "track record" by the positive feedback.

If he has 0 feedback I wouldn't buy it. It is not as safe as it appears. And especially with electronics.

ebay is fine any way if ir sounds abit dodgy you can report it , go ahead every one has to start with no stars . good luck.

I'm not sure if it's saf eto but a CELL PHONE... It might be damaged if it's that cheap... the things that I woudl buy off ebay are just purses and things like that. Carrie

ive alwasy asked myself the same question. Il tell you one thing though: my neighbor bought a boat from ebay, and it was all dented in and it had a hole in it. No jokes!

Yes ebay has improved their safey alot. and if you pay with paypal you are insured! So go right ahead and enjoy! Just one tip... If something looks too good to be true it usually is...
