Has anyone ever moved to another country?

• Hiya, I have lived in London, in the UK for all my life. I'm 24 and i moved out of my parents house about a year ago. My brother moved to Australia 7 years ago and my citizenship and Oz passport has come through so im going to go and live there. All my friends have moved on, and me and my girlfriend are going to go. The thing is, it's a big step - i'm excited and nervous, but im wondering, has anyone done this and how did they find it? It's funny, cause i have all my things here that i have built up, like my car, all my electronics, games consoles, reptiles etc and im going to have to sell them all i think, and re buy when we get over there. So literally, it's like selling everything i own, except for my clothes and starting a fresh. Just wondered, has anyone gone down this route and how did they find it? Was it wierd leaving what you knew behind and effectively, starting a whole new life?

  Yes, I have moved from Auckland, New Zealand where i was born to the place i now reside in, Cardiff, Wales. It was a huge decision to leave my family behind. Sometimes i think i shouldn't of moved first of all but then i wouldn't have met my girlfriend. I moved due to the degree in which i wanted to study at the college in Cardiff. I visist home from time to time, but i realise that it all worked out for the best. Anyways, it will all come to sense in the future. It might be hard at first but it will be worth it.
