What are “registry entries”, and why does a computer gradually slow down?

How do i completely uninstall the yahoo toolbar from my computer?

  • I am running XP Pro. I have followed the uninstall option from 'Add/Remove Programs' in control panel and it is now not in that list, but the option to turn it on and off in the view menu in internet explorer is still there. I do not want it to be on my computer at all. I can access my yahoo standard and 360 account via norml ie methods and do not wish it to add any other content to my computer. I would like to know the there is no trace of it left on my computer from the point of view of files and registry entries. Please could you supply me with details of all files and registry entries so that I can check they are no longer on my computer. Thank you.
