Where is uninstall for Yahoo toolbar?

Why won't Yahoo Instant Messenger toolbar uninstall?

  • Recently, I uninstalled Yahoo Instant Messenger since I simply wasn't using it enough. However, Yahoo Instant Messenger toolbar came installed with it. I don't use the toolbar and never have. (I use Mozilla Firefox as my browser though I still have internet explorer for what that's worth). However, attempting to uninstall it through the add/remove programs in my Control Panel yields no success. I will click on it, it will give me the option to remove, I'll click on it and nothing will happen. It's still there no matter what and apparently taking up some space that I would prefer to free up, so if any of you have dealt with such a problem before, please let me know. I would love to get this resolved so the toolbar can be uninstalled. Thank you.

    my mom recently had the same problem the way I fixed it was to reinstall and then uninstall again and it corrected the problem
