How do I get rid of unwanted pop up icon on tool bar?

  • how do I get rid of unwanted & univited popup icon on my toolbar. The offender is virusprotect 3.9. Im running xp professional. Ive deleated the desk top icons. have delated from:- c\:documents & setting\owner\start up\programs also from c\:program files. Have deleted from internet options home page. Have emptyed recycle bin, deleted internet hister, cookies ect. Have ran search all files and folders. Have ran my anti virus, .ran my anti spy waire. Have rebooted but the nasty little tool bar pop up icon is still here driving me crazy... pop up message...systems alert plz plz plz can some one help me
