How do you delete your history?

How can I delete browsing history. Clicked `delete browsing history` under ` safety` but history not deleted?

Although after clicking on `delete browsing history` and the appearance of the `oblong` box showing history being deleted, when I check immediately afterwards, history has notben deleted after all!...help please..thanks

The best answer is to download a FREE program called ccleaner - it will not only clear the bar, but also a couple of files that windows normally hangs on to that show the browsing history Its a really good program and gets recommended all the time, I use it all the time If you use IE, then you should also look at upgrading to IE8 and using the Private browsing mode
