How to remove a toolbar?

My yahoo toolbar has an "Upgrade toolbar" request option. I have tried 2 upgrade 2 no avail. How do I remove?

  • My computer is Windows Vista. Tried to upgrade Yahoo toolbar, by clicking on "Upgrade your Toolbar Now!" at top of page in my yahoo toolbar. It starts downloading, but when it does that, it keeps saying downloading now, but nothing is happening. I see the dots moving indicating that it is downloading, but it just stays that way forever. Meaning nothing is happening. So now, how do I remove that "Upgrade your Toolbar Now!" request (since my computer won't download) off of my yahoo toolbar?

  • Answer:

No problem. Upgrade the toolbar yourself. Uninstall Yahoo toolbar. Download toolbar from toolbar.yahoo.com. Make sure you look at all windows waiting on replies so the toolbar download will complete. Also check Internet Explorer for a yellow information bar across the top of the webpage you are viewing. Click the info bar on the right to start the download. **************************************… If you still can't get it to work, then uninstall by clicking the pencil on the toolbar and click uninstall (help, uninstall) or using Vista programs and features.
