Problems with IE6 and Yahoo Mail box?

I use system XP. I upgraded to IE7 but due to a lot of problems, deleted it via the control panel add/delete and got back to IE6. When using Yahoo, I cannot open my mail box by using the tool bar icons on the menu bar or by clicking open mail box shortcuts. To go to my mailbox using IE6 and the yahoo I have to go via page wap.oa.yahoo.com and then click mailbox, fill in account and password. With the new page I can then click on the mail box icon on the tool bar and enter the traditional mail box opening page for my account!!! If I use Firefox , I can click on any mail yahoo shortcut and enter the traditional yahoo mail account opening page without any problems. Please advice how to reinstall the shortcuts that are probably missing when using the IE6. Thanks Tom B

RIGHT CLICK ANYWHERE IN TOOLBAR SECTION OF THE BROWSER AND MAKE SURE STANDARD BUTTONS IS CHECKER IN POPUP MENU. IT SHOULD BE THERE SELECT IT. IF YOU USE FIREFOX: ITS THE SAME AS INTERNET EXPLORER, EXCEPT THE OPTION IS CALLED NAVIGATION TOOLBAR. I HOPE THIS HELP:-)
