How do i delete the security toolbar at the top of my screen?

How do I delete the Yahoo Toolbar that takes up so much screen space? There is no icon in control panel?

  • I do not want the YAHOO toolbar displayed on my screen and yet there is no option to HIDE it and regain the viewing space LOST by this unnecessary feature.

    If you use Firefox: 1. Click the Tools menu at the top of the Firefox browser. 2. Click Add-ons or Extensions in the Tools menu (depending on which version of Firefox you have). 3. In the window that opens, scroll until you find Yahoo! Toolbar and click on it. 4. Click Uninstall. 5. Click again when you are prompted to confirm. 6. Close the Add-ons Manager or Extensions Manager, and restart your browser. If you use IE: 1. Click the Windows Start button. 2. Select Settings, then Control Panel. 3. Double-click on Add/Remove Programs. 4. Scroll down and click on Yahoo! Toolbar. 5. Click on Remove. 6. Close any open IE windows. 7. Restart IE.

If this problem is on Firefox, click on the "Tools" tab and select "Add-ons". Click on the Yahoo toolbar and click "Disable". You need to close and reopen Firefox for it to be off. I hope this helps!
