How do I restore favorites to my Yahoo toolbar?

• I recently reformatted my computer to adress a 100% cpu usage issue I had been experiencing with Windows 7 (the problem seems to have been originating with Windows Security Essentials,) and I have been re-installing all my drivers and programs. I just re-installed the Yahoo toolbar into Internet Explorer 8, getting the most up-to-date version in the process, and I have noticed that a feature that was previously there is no longer. You see, I have an extensive list of bookmarks in my favorites menu, and previously to my reformat, a feature that I loved about the Yahoo toolbar is that the favorites and the search feature of the toolbar seemed to have been linked. Instead of searching through the various folders and searching for the proper link in my favorites, I could simply type in a few of the words of the bookmark into the toolbar and the drop-down menu of the search would display the link. This feature seems to be absent from the toolbar version I currently possess. Is anyone familiar with this particular feature of the toolbar and, if so, could you tell me how to enable--or, barring that, what was the previous version of the Yahoo toolbar that last had this feature so that I can downgrade?

  Your Search History got cleared when you formatted the hard drive. Click the gear icon at the end of the Yahoo toolbar, click Toolbar Preferences, click Search. You don't need to take any action.
