How can i see my messages in the dialog box?

Was scrooling the tool bar directly above my in box messages. i just wanted to see what they did. opps!!!!?

  • accidently clicked on something under the view icon. it really messed up my list of messages. instead of having 8 or 10 messages displayed from newest to oldest / my whole screen filled up with dozens of messages, and they were now listed from oldest to newest/ upside down so to speak

  • Answer:

You don't say which version of Yahoo! Mail you are using... I'll assume it's the "new" version and not the "classic" one. It sounds like you did two things: 1) Closed the reading pane - That would cause the "preview" of the open email to go away and be replaced by a full screen list of your emails. 2) Changed the email date sort order - That would reverse the date order of your list of emails. Both things are easy to fix directly from the View menu in Yahoo! Mail. To fix #1, click View and check the Reading Pane checkbox to make it display again. To fix #2, look closely at the Date heading. You should see a small arrow. Since your email is listed "oldest first", the arrow is probably pointing up. Click anywhere on the Date heading and it will reverse the arrow - and the sorted order of your emails back to "newest first". All the heading fields work that way. If you are using the "classic" Yahoo! Email, fix #2 will still work as described. For fix #1, they may call the reading pane something else, like preview window or something. Good luck and enjoy your Yahoo! Email, -T
