How do you delete the browsing history on the main top toolbar?!?

Hi,i need to know how to delete the browsing history in the very top toolbar,the one that has the http:// etc on it. I delete history using my yahoo,and my avg toolbars and i even use c cleaner to do it but everytime I double click on the drop down there is loads on it!!! i can right click it and delete it,but i come back on and its all there again!!! why wont it go and how can i get rid of it? its only 20 things which i looked at ages ago so i dont know why! help please!

Ccleaner should remove them - have you set up Ccleaner correctly. Put a tick in every box except WIPE FREE SPACE then try it again. No reason why it should still be there - mine never is. Click on TOOLS INTERNET OPTIONS BROWSING HISTORY - put a tick in box DELETE BROWSING HISTORY ON EXIT See if that works
