How do I keep the Yahoo toolbar permanently hidden?

Why do I keep having to re-add everyday my buttons on the yahoo toolbar that I made & some that R default too?

  • I recently got a dell inspiron 1721 that has Windows Vista and IE7 installed. Since I added the Yahoo Toolbar to this new laptop the buttons I created for the toolbar do not want to save. Once I close internet explorer for the night and then start my pc up again the next day and open IE7 the buttons I made are gone and sometimes a few of the buttons that yahoo lists as options to add are gone as well. They just dont seem to wanna stick. Is there a bug in the latest version of yahoo toolbar? Why am I and probably others having such issues with Yahoo Toolbar? I never had problems with the toolbar when using IE7 on my dell inspiron 1000 w/ windows xp. Do we know when the next yahoo toolbar update will be?

    Yahoo does not pre-announce dates for new toolbars. Other uses have encountered the same problem, I have not. The problem also occurs on non-Vista systems. It appears to be a bug. I would report the problem to Yahoo Customer Care: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/toolbar/general.html? There seems to be the impression that Yahoo knows all about the problems; however, I have submitted problems and it seems like Yahoo has never heard of them even though there are lots of people asking questions under Yahoo and talking about the problems in the Yahoo! Toolbar Suggestion Board.

ie 7, beta and the new mail system are filled with snafu's. I won't touch any of them. I have no idea why toolbar is incompatible with other browsers or Vista. I can only suggest that you try to re-down load it but I doubt it will work.
