Why will my yahoo toolbar not stay locked?

What's going on with my Yahoo Toolbar?

  • I'm having problems with my Yahoo Toolbar. I've had to reload it at least 10 times because it disapears. Now the mail envelope indicates I have 8 items in my mail, but when I click on it and go to my mailbox there is nothing there, it's empty. Please help me by answering the following questions: 1) How do I get the Toolbar to stay loaded (It is "locked", but that doesn't help). 2) How do I get the mail icon envelope to correctly indicate when I have mail? Thank you in advance for your help in this matter.

    Uninstall the toolbar and then download the latest version from http://toolbar.yahoo.com If you are still seeing a blank toolbar do this: o) close IE o) In explorer, navigate to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Yahoo! Companion. Delete the 'Data' folder. o) open IE As far as the mail count, Yahoo has problems. Today, Yahoo messenger said had 1 new message, Yahoo toolbar said I had 8. Toolbar was correct this time, but I have seen other cases where Messenger, Yahoo Toolbar for IE and Yahoo Toolbar for FireFox all had different mail counts (only one was correct).

It must be a Yahoo issue because the same thing has been happening with my Yahoo toolbar, at home and at work. I use it a lot, so it is inconvenient.

.Me too they fly when someone gets into the PC as they have mine and phone bills appear from nowhere and fraud scam starts and free Norton disappears. When you find the answer let me know also.
