How can I import my bookmarks from my yahoo browser?

Anyone having issues with yahoo bookmarks?

  • I updated the yahoo toolbar, as I was having issue adding new bookmarks. After the update finished. I opened a new browser and my bookmarks were blank. So I went to the my yahoo bookmarks website. All bookmarks were there and in the order as they last were. So then I went to import and imported them back into the yahoo toolbar, but it was all wrong. Several bookmarks were missing and everything was out of order, many folders I had created were missing. But on the my yahoo bookmarks web site everything was fine and in the order it should be. I have contacted yahoo, but was wondering if I could get a quicker response. Right now I have my bookmarks placed in Firefox bookmark fav's, on the top of the menu bar. I'd really like to be able to get the bookmarks to work again in the yahoo toolbar. I use both Firefox and IE 7 browsers and both yahoo toolbars are showing the bookmarks wrong.

    One Question, DId you LOG IN to Yahoo Toolbar? If you are not logged in to the right account, they wont be displayed properly. You sound like you know what you were doing, but sometimes we forget ... Hopefully this is all you need to do. I will check back and see what is up-OK IF every thing was fine on the site- that is my first thought- Login to toolbar-

Thanks for providing good details. The problem is in Yahoo's hands. I hope more people will submit problem reports to Yahoo to get a faster resolution. Sorry, but I have always been paranoid of Yahoo! toolbar bookmarks since there have been several problems in the past. Hindsight is 20/20, but I use Y! toolbar bookmarks, Google toolbar bookmarks, IE favorites, Firefox bookmarks and the Firefox Xmarks add-on (formerly Foxmarks). That way I don't get burnt using single point of failure features such as Y toolbar bookmarks. Something for you to consider. Good luck.

i have no answer but have same problem but also if i want to bookmark a page it says error on saving please try again so would love to see answer to question

Hi I think re-installing the Y! toolbar was a coincidence. The problem seems to be fixed without any action on my part. Thanks for your input.
