How do I delete the yahoo toolbar from my browser?

What new yahoo toolbar should I download when I have SBC yahoo?

I have SBC yahoo (When I go to get on the internet I click on the rocket icon). I'm having problems with my bookmarks on my toolbar. I can't delete or edit them so I have really old bookmarks that I don't need anymore. I got information that I had to download the new yahoo toolbar. I did and it loaded up a window browser telling me about it and showing me the new toolbar. So it looked like it was all set so I exited out and got back on the internet (Double clicked on the internet rocket icon button) and it goes back to my old toolbar. It's really frustrating because all I want is to edit my bookmarks and it won't let me. I don't know how many tries I have made so any help would be great. Thanks! Megan

most toolbars slow your browser down. yahoo is one of them. I would go with google toolbar.
