How do i change my printer status from idle to ready?

How do i change my printer status from offline to online I can not print with the offline status?

I have disconnected my printed and tried to add new printer and status stays offline in file box. I have right click my printer and it will say online then but offline in file box I want online all the way. I do not work offline. What can I do?

Just go to control panel, click on printers and faxes, a window will open showing you all the printers you have or have had. The current printer will have a checked mark. highlight it and right click, you will see printer offline in the box, click it. That will turn the printer online and you can print. I hope this was helpful.

go to print, then right click on the printer and click use printer offline to take of the check that makes you print offline....hope this helps
