How do I get rid of yahoo 7?

How do I get Yahoo 7 off my Yahoo Toolbar as I no longer live in Australia?

  • I lived in Australia for the last year and somehow Yahoo 7 installed itself over my regular Yahoo. Now I am back in the US I would like Yahoo 7 to go away but can't seem to remove it. I have tried reinstalling the regular Yahoo Toolbar but still ended up with Yahoo 7.

    There are two things you should do; on the very bottom of this (or any Yahoo Page) you're going to see the flags representing the different countries served by Yahoo. Click on the US flag to bring that version to the fore. Also, place your cursor in the top, left hand corner of this page where Yahoo's saying, "Hi" to you and click Account Info. Sign in again and make sure your Preferred Location is clearly defined by typing in your state and zip code. Make sure you Save your changes. Not only will this assure you of having the US version, but it will also make sure that all of your local stories are truly local to the area in which you're currently living. Oh yeah, be sure to refresh the page before expecting to see any differences. Good luck.
