My yahoo toolbar disappears every time I close my internet explorer. When I reopen IE I cant find it anywhere?
-
.My problem is the yahoo toolbar disappears everytime I shut down IE. I try to reinstall it but I get a note saying it's on my computer and can't be reinstalled. I want my yahoo toolbar back. And, yes I have checked Views - Toolbars ...repeatedly. I can't find it anywhere on the computer. I had IE 9 and thought that was the prob so I uninstalled it and reinstalled (several times ) and it didn't work. So I installed IE 8 hoping for better luck. Sometimes the toolbar comes up but whenever IE closes, whether it is my wish or some glitch in the computer, the yahoo toolbar disappears. this is so frustrating. I've looked through all the other answers to this question and tried their suggestions and the same thing happens. Can't tell you how many times I've restarted the computer for a better outcome. When I get a notice saying the toolbar is on the computer but it doesn't show up - any idea where I can look to find and reactivate it? Please don't say something about the Y because that is not visible.

Answer:
Nice sleuthing. Keep us posted (additional details) if the problem reoccurs. The Microsoft suggested methodology for IE problems is to disable add-ons and then enable them one by one until you find the conflicting add-on. Who would have "thunk" that it applied in this situation? This raises the question: If you reinstalled the latest version of the Google toolbar (toolbar.google.com) would the problem return?
