I updated my Yahoo Toolbar and lost my bookmarks. Where are my bookmarks.

Where are my saved bookmarks from yahoo toolbar/?

  • on my laptop, i used firefox with a yahoo toolbar where i saved all my bookmarks..i saved my toolbar w/ the option of being able to access it from any computer. i am unable to view my yahoo toolbar w/ its bookmarks on other comouters. how can i view my yahoo toolbar w/ my bookmarks on another computer?

    The Yahoo toolbar is only supported for the Internet Explorer and Firefox browsers. You don't need the Yahoo toolbar installed on other computers to view your Yahoo Bookmarks. Use the following link: http://bookmarks.yahoo.com/ on almost any computer browser. Obviously the Yahoo toolbar needs to be installed to view the Yahoo toolbar. The option you talk about means that if the Yahoo toolbar is installed and you sign in to Yahoo with the same Yahoo ID, the toolbar apps/icons on the toolbar will be the same. ***************************************… Added: The question is not talking about the inability to save bookmarks until Oct 20. ***************************************…

Yahoo has notified us that Bookmarks will be close until at least Nov. 1, 2011, in the meantime though, you can use your Favorites which is essentially a bookmarking device anyway. Here's how to get your favorites. Click Tools on the bottom line of your tool bar, scroll to Tool bars and click, scroll to Menu Bar and click and that will put File - Edit - View - Favorites - Tools - Help (menu bar) above your tool bars for you, a very convenient access point! To add a favorite, be on the page you'd like to make a favorite, then click the double stars (yellow and green) on the bottom line of your toolbars. That's going to open a window asking you if you want to make this page a favorite and it's going to have the name of the page highlighted. Click Yes, or you can change the name to whatever you want to by just typing it into the highlighted area, then click Yes. To access these Favorites, click on Favorites in the Toolbar and they will be listed alphabetically initially. You can drag them up and down the list though any time you want and they will remain where you place them. Good luck.
