How do you clear the recent sites visited that appear in the web search box .They list when clicked on.?

If you are using Internet Explorer, do the following: Go to Tools --> Internet Options Select the tab, "Content". Go to "Personal Information" Select "Auto Complete" button And make sure there is no checkmarks in "Web Addresses" field. Press OK. Select the tab, "General" And clear the history again. If you are using Firefox, do the following: Go to Tools --> Options Select the "Privacy" icon Make sure the box labeled, "Save information I enter in forms and Search Bar", is unchecked. Press the "Clear Saved Form Data Now". Hope that helps!

The record of search history which appears in the search box on Yahoo and Google pages is actually a feature controlled by your browser. * Click Tools at the top of your screen, a menu will drop down, click on Internet Options, then click on the Content tab. On the AutoComplete Settings window click the Clear Forms box to delete your current history, or you can uncheck the Forms box to permanently stop the generation of the search history.
