Answer:
I dumped them for similar reasons. You have to cancel the service. When you are finally disconnected you will get the option to pay or unmerge the accounts. Choose unmerge and it will return to yahoo. It took a month after I canceled to get that notice and they kept trying to bill me so wait for them is all you can do.

If you go up to the toolbar and select "tools" then "internet options" you should be able to type in any site you would like to make as your homepage.

Okay, this sounds like a problem with you and your computer; not AT & T or yahoo. Can't you just reset your computer options to have your home page as www.yahoo.com and then once you've done that, go into your control panel and uninstall the toolbar you no longer want. Sounds pretty sinple to me, unless there's something I'm not understanding that's been left out. Good luck and by the way I hate the new AT&T also so much that I'm canceling my cingular account of 10 years and going to Verizon!!! Good Luck again!!!

It is in your cookies. Sometimes there is spy ware that might be impregnated in to your system 32 files. I would get a good anti spy ware programs. Try deleting the cookies 1st, by going to your control panel (right click at start), the Internet connections, then should be a button to delete the cookies and the web sites you visited. To get the site you want when you get on the internet (browser) you can select what browser you want to go by entering the web page at the Internet connections.
