How do I keep the Yahoo toolbar permanently hidden?

Yahoo toolbar apps that I removed keep reappearing.?

I have deleted apps on my toolbar, and they keep popping back up on startup, etc. When I refresh the Yahoo toolbar, those that I removed go away leaving the correct apps. Once I remove an app from my toolbar, they should never reappear back on the toolbar. So can someone explain this ghostly issue?

Starting at midnight you will be visited by three ghosts. The ghost of Yahoo toolbar past, the ghost of Yahoo toolbar present and the ghost of Yahoo toolbar future. You will see all your past apps/icons, you will see some of them disappear and in the future you will see nothing because Yahoo has no future. The ghost of AOL is on vacation. Oh well. Sign in to Yahoo, click the gear icon at the end of the Yahoo toolbar, click Toolbar Preferences and look under Save Layout Preferences. Move your mouse to the "?" for more information. Sometimes the Yahoo toolbar does not sign in/out correctly. Refreshing the Yahoo toolbar corrects the situation.
