How do I upgrade my Toolbar?

I like the yahoo tool bar that I have. How do I remove the (Upgrade your toolbar now) Icon from my toolbar.?

  • I have yahoo toolbar. I do not wish to upgrade. The Icon that yahoo has placed on my toolbar to UPGRADE NOW has taken the place of my favorite buttons. How can I get rid of their UPGRADE NOW button? I can not do it through right click, nor settings!

    About six months ago (or so) that icon magically appeared one morning on my toolbar----and these pages (and the forum) were filled with other unhappy people. All answers and even the forum ---said it couldn't be removed--and in fact, everything I tried, failed to get rid of it. I started previewing other toolbars (Goggle etc.) to replace the toolbar, since I had no wish to be forced into accepting a faulty system. Then, one morning, about two or three weeks later-----it just disappeared---poofffffff- as mysteriously and quickly as it appeared. Never an explanation. I haven't seen it (again) on my toolbar and hope not to. Maybe it will happen that way again ??? Those in that first bunch who fell for it, were probably the "Pilgrims"---or Guinea pigs---and thanks to them,--- I understand, some or most, of the bugs have been worked out.
