HELP ME PLEASE! Yahoo IM malaware? I did NOT install the Y! toolbar but now I can't get rid of it!?

Please help. If you reply to this Q please come back to see if I posted questions about your reply Basically I just installed Yahoo IM. I check OFF all 3 boxes that said "install Yahoo toolbar" and other yahoo bloatware. I then proceeded to install IM ONLY but now it installed the Y! toolbar anyway, which I consider malaware/spyware. How can I get rid of it? I can't get rid of it!!! I went to CONTROL PANEL and uninstalled all 3 Yahoo components (updater, IM and toolbar) and NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES I RESTART MOZILLA FIREFOX 10 IT RELOADS THE TOOLBAR. Please help! Thanks

For Firefox: Method 1 - The easiest way is to use the uninstall menu item. Click the Pencil menu on the Yahoo! Toolbar. Click Uninstall from the drop down menu. Enter any feedback you want to send to Yahoo! about why you are uninstalling Toolbar, if you wish. Click Uninstall. Restart your browser. Method 2 - You can use Add-ons in Firefox to remove the Yahoo! Toolbar. Click the Tools menu in the Firefox browser. (Click Alt + V to see the menu) Click on Add-ons from the drop down menu. In the Add-ons window select the Yahoo! Toolbar. Click on Uninstall. Again click Uninstall in Uninstall the Yahoo! Toolbar window. Exit Add-ons window and restart your browser. (Ribbit)

The Yahoo toolbar is not considered Malware by Anti-Spyware/Malware software. However, Yahoo goes out of its way to trick you into installing the Yahoo toolbar. Next time you install Yahoo Messenger do a "Custom Install" and uncheck the boxes. You can't remove the Yahoo toolbar for Firefox via the Control Panel. You uninstalled the Yahoo toolbar for Internet Explorer via the Control Panel. Open Firefox, click Tools (or Alt+T), click Add-ons, click Extensions, click Remove on the line with Yahoo Toolbar, restart Firefox. Good luck.
