Is there a recommended and consistent way of adding social buttons?

Trouble adding buttons to Yahoo toolbar?

• I want to add buttons to my Yahoo toolbar and have searched past questions to find an answer. Everyone keeps talking about clicking the pencil next to the search box but there is no pencil on my toolbar AT ALL. Is there another way to update the toolbar? Please help. Thanks.

  If you have the yahoo toolbar, without a pencil, you probably have the new toolbar. Click the link below if you are not sure, but if this works then you have it.. First, click toolbar settings (avatar)..select add/edit buttons, all of the buttons are in this section..Select a button that you want on your toolbar, click add next to it, do that for all the buttons that you want..When you are finished, click "save changes"..In the column on the right side, use the up and down arrows to move the buttons where you want them on your toolbar. The buttons on the right side are the buttons that will be on your toolbar..If you want to make more room on your toolbar, click settings again, and unselect "show text on buttons"..Good Luck..click>> http://toolbar.yahoo.com/
